Antonia Antonia AntoniaCOLUMBIA, S.C. Columbia Police Department officers had been looking for Sims throughout the week of Christmas but could not locate him. Officers have arrested Taylor Wardlaw and charged him with accessory following the fact of murder as a result of Sims' death. Eddie Brown, 30, was charged with being an accomplice to the death of the Columbia Police Department, officials say. Sims was a 26-year-old male last seen at a home in the area of Ervin Street in Columbia Dec. 20. Police believe that Sims was the girlfriend of Wardlaw had reported him missing on Dec. 22. On Wednesday, the corpse was discovered on Monticello Road. Naida Rutherford Coroner of Richland County confirmed that the body was owned by Sims. Skip Holbrook of Columbia Police reports that Wardlaw was charged with the murder of Sims and possession of weapons in a violent crime. Police say Sims died after being shot several times. The Columbia Police Department released the following tweet asking the community for help.
