The birthplace of the Barba family was Santa Monica California, the United States of America on the 26th of November, 1986. The father of the singer, Vincenzo Barba is the mother of Valerie Barba. The family moved from Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. For her schooling, she attended Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. Following her graduation of Catholic University with a Bachelor's in Architecture and a Master's in Architecture, she continued to study at the university. When she was 4, she began to play the violin. She earned the name Violin Girl. Due to her musical performance, she was referred to as Violin Girl. She also taught the violin to neighborhood kids. She sang Free from 1976 in the auditions for the sixth season of American Idol, at the age of 19. She was eliminated after the 16th rank.
